Question
Q – “”I’m currently working in a preschool. I’m level 3 with up to date first aid and safeguarding. I’m really interested in working in a hospital setting with babies/children but unsure of jobs available and whether my current qualifications would be suitable?””
Answers
A – “I worked in a and e kids kas and it was wicked . You only need your level 3 . You must keep checking the hospital jobs . I worked at old church hospital which is now queen hospital . Wicked experience . I also had the opportunity to do bank work within the children wards and neonatal intensive care unit for babies . You may want to check to see if you need health and social care . Good luck . Ask about weekend bank work that’s a good way in”
A – “where about are you ? should check to see if your local hospital has a Radio Lollipop i currently volunteer at my local hospital we visit children’s wards with games and crafts”
A – “Your level 3 is more than enough if you want to be an HCA , Nursery nurse on neonate unit , Community nursery nurse or play leader . All above are advertised on NHS websites . You could also try volunteering in your spare time to get your foot in the door?”
