So what do you expect people to do with their 1 and 2 year olds ? I have a partner that works 7 days a week on 18k a year who travels daily 130miles to work as that’s his closest point of work and we simply can not afford to move. I worked full time on 17k and I physically can not afford to go back to work even part time for the fact I get no help with child care and it’s just not viable to work and pay the excessive amount of money for someone else to look after my own child. With the exspence of living we also can not afford to live solely on my partners income? Where is the help for people like mr?

Hi, is this available for single parents with children under 2..?
As at the moment it’s not with me returning back to work due to childcare costs being close to my earnings so not worth the hassle..
Just seems unfair.
