MP visits Rhyl nursery to show support over recent notice to leave
Rhyl nursery was recently given a six months notice to leave its premises. This news has left many people shocked as there were no prior discussions about this.
The nursery provides early years care as well as wraparound care, it has been based on the school site for six years. The decisions to leave the premises has sent parents into shock as they depend on the nursery for childcare.
Upon visiting the nursery MP Chris Ruane expressed that he has spoken to staff and parents and completely understands their concerns over the impact this decision has on all parties.
14 staff in total have received redundancy notices, of which this has been upsetting for all.
It has been said that the school has grown over the years and are now in a position where the allocated space is required for educational purposes, therefore the only decision they have is to the end the lease, giving the nursery six months notice.
