Scope of the site
The site has been designed to support early years practitioners, childcare managers and OFSTED registered childcare settings within the UK.
Registration and Access to the site (earlyyearscareers.com)
Whilst every effort will be made to provide continuing services, We will not accept liability for difficulties caused by interruption of services. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the services we provide on our site without any notice.
Access to some services requires registration and log-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of passwords and other confidential information. We reserve the right to restrict access and to make changes to the site.
You are responsible for arranging your registration so that you can take advantage of available early years services on this site and for compliance with terms and conditions.
Registration of Early Years Settings
Some services (eg Training Records and matrices) require the additional registration of the early years setting to take full advantage of the service. In order to do this you must have authority to act on behalf of the early years setting. You will need to enter a unique identifier for the setting. This will, whenever possible, be the unique OFSTED identifier, as shown on the OFSTED setting registration. This identifier must be shared with practitioners at the setting so that they can use it when registering themselves.
Using the site
The site is designed to support the work of managers and practitioners working in OFSTED registered early years settings.
Comments made should meet the spirit of the site, and we reserve the right to edit, not publish or remove material that we consider inappropriate. Comments should:
- be respectful of others, and unlikely to cause offence
- be accurate
- reflect your true feelings and beliefs
- comply with the laws of UK and the country from which the comments are made
- be relevant

Recording Training Events
The skills app is provided to allow registered practitioners to keep a log of appropriate early years core training and continuing professional development. It has been designed for the use of practitioners in registered early years settings in the UK. Listings include an identifier of the setting at which the practitioner is working, and all entries will be accessible by the chosen representative(s) of the setting. Personal records may be downloaded by the featured individual and records of all staff at the setting may be viewed or downloaded by the appointed people within the setting.
All data is subject to data protection law, and must not be used for any purpose beyond identifying staff skills and training requirements.
We will not be held liable for technical problems that interfere with access to these records.
Posting Job Vacancies
The site allows you to post specific job vacancies. Before posting jobs you must ensure that you have the appropriate authority of the organisation for which the posting is being made.
All job postings must:
- be relevant to the early years sector
- represent real posts available, with realistic deadlines
- accurately represent the nature of the role to be undertaken
- adhere to the spirit of the site

We will make all reasonable efforts to safeguard your data. It will be used within the letter and spirit of the Data Protection Act, and as described in the site. No data will be given or sold to third parties.
We will use your data to analyse general trends that do not identify you.
We may contact you or your setting to alert you to services or opportunities.
Training dates will be used to set timers so that you may be alerted when update training becomes due. The site may contact you and/or your setting to alert you. This is an automated setting (CRON).

- correctly represent the spirit of the site
