Career choices after completing an early years degree
Here at early years careers, we are always being asked to offer advice and suggestions for possible career choices once completing a degree. Once a degree is completed students can often feel like they have landed at a crossroads and the career path they had originally chosen may no longer be the one they choose to pursue. This can lead to conflicting feelings and a sense of loss, however, there are many options that can be taken. Gaining a degree is a huge achievement and can open up many doors and pathways. Some of the careers choices can be gained immediately with an early years degree and others may require completing some post-graduate courses, further training or work experience. The below list is not exhaustive however it does detail some of the options available

I would like some information about Career in Early Years Assessor. I have foundation degree and BA Hons in Working with Children and Young People. I also hold a Montessori Diploma and have been working as nursery manager for last 4 years.

I have looked in to Play Therapy but there are no local courses to become a qualified Play therapist. Can you direct me to whee I need to go please.

I worked for the NHS and did play therapy for children with cancer. I was a community nursery nurse. I got this job after being a pre school room leader. I just applied through the nhs website.
