Bradford is set to benefit from a grant of half a million pounds to invest in creating more childcare places
Half a million pounds is being invested in Bradford to fund around 200 new childcare places. It has been announced by the Department for Education that this is part of a multi-million-pound investment in childcare to help support families. The grant will be given to five nurseries;
The above nurseries will spend the grant money on either an extension or a refurbishment. The half a million investment will help deliver more childcare places for working parents, enabling them to take up the offer of the 30hrs free childcare scheme which is being offered by the Government from Septemeber.
The introduction of the 30hrs Free childcare scheme is set to be rolled out across the rest of the country this Septemeber, however for those providers who have been less fortunate in receiving grants they are concerned about sustainability, creating uncertainty about their future.
