Childcare Minister Caroline Dinenage departs

Caroline Dinenage leaves her current post as Childcare Minister

Childcare Minister Caroline Dinenage has announced she will leave her current position as childcare minister and join the Department for Work and Pensions. It has not been announced who will replace her. 

Caroline has only been in her current position for a year, she replaced Sam Gymiah last July. Over the last year, she has supported many decisions and showed great leaderships skills one being the overturning of the GCSE requirements, the news of this overturn was shared by Caroline during the Government’s Early Years Workforce Strategy speech. 

It has expressed that whoever takes over their first priority will be the funding for 30hrs free childcare scheme.
