More money is given to childcare providers in Bolton to help boost childcare places
The government has a funding amount of £232,243 to help working parents in Bolton access 3ohrs free childcare per week. Because of this funding boost, childcare providers in Bolton will be able to offer more childcare places.
At present all three and four-year-olds receive 15hrs of free childcare per week, however, from this Septemeber, this will increase to 30hrs per week for working families. The cash injection from the government will go towards increasing the amount of childcare places available for those eligible parents.
The four childcare providers that will receive funding are Heaton House Nursery. Croft House Nursery, St Joseph’s RC Primary School and St James CE Primary School. The funding given to these providers will mean they can offer nursery places for the first time. These providers are either rated good or outstanding.
Creating more childcare places will hep reduce waiting lists, giving children the early education they deserve.
