Kids Planet nursery purchased the Victorian house and the next door plot from Salford City Council back in June 2015. Plans are to demolish the Victorian house to make way for a new nursery.
The Victorian property will be knocked down and replaced with a car park. Adjacent to this will be a one storey, two-part storey nursery, with an outdoor area to the back of the nursery.
The new nursery in Swinton will create up to 132 nursery places, employing 30 full-time employees and it will open from 7 am to 6 pm.
According to the plans there’ll be new access for cars from Station Road and with parents dropping off and collecting at different times this should ease the congestion.
Kids Planet first opened its door in 2008 in Widnes. They now have 17 branches stretching from Crewe, Liverpool, Prestwich, Sale, Warrington and Southport.
Kids Planet currently have two other branches locally, one in Higher Broughton and the other on Eccles Old Road in Salford.
The application for the new nursery in Swinton is expected to be decided by Tuesday 28 June 2016.
