The CACHE Level 2 Certificate in an Introduction to Early Years Education and Care (QCF) course will enable students to gain a level 2 in childcare qualification.

What does the qualification cover?

By completing this course it will provide students will the knowledge of how children learn and develop from 0-7 years. It will provide a pathway to progressing onto the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care course.

Who is this Childcare course suitable for?

This course is for students from the age of 16 onwards, it is a great course for those that have very little or no experience of working with children.

If studying through a college or training provider they may have their own guidelines so check before, if studying through CACHE the only requirement is you must be at least 16 years old.

  1. What about if you’re home schooling/general babysitter? What nvq level would you need? If you need one at all for it to be legal to be employed in such a position?

  2. Hi Im interested in doing my level 2 in child care but I’m not currently in a nursery practice, can I do this at home without being in a practice?

  3. So this course will enable me t9 have the level 2 qualification for early years/childcare, not just providing information (like the open study uni one)

    Also, can I go straight to Level 3 without having done a Level 2?
