Level 3 Childcare Courses available to study
With the introduction of the new Early Years Educator qualifications, the awarding bodies City & Guilds and CACHE have developed new childcare courses for all those wanting to train at Level 3.
The new entry requirements for Early Years Educators courses are minimum grade C GCSE in maths and English. All students will need to achieve this in order to be Level 3 qualified and count within ratios.
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Year’s Education and Care (EYE) (VRQ
This qualification is great for those learners who are planning on progressing further onto higher education. The course includes 27 mandatory units and 643 guided learning hours. It is also suitable for those who are either working or wishing to work with children, but more of a popular choice for those moving onto higher education. It will take students about 2 years to complete. UCAS points for this qualification range from 120 (grade D) to 280 (grade A*).

CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (EYE) (QCF)

City and guilds Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioners (EYE)
This qualification is for those practitioners already working in childcare. It is a great opportunity for those students who want to consolidate their skills.
Advanced Technical Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (EYE)
This childcare course is a full time programme and is aimed at learners who are aiming to enter employment on completion of this course.
