What questions will i be asked during an interview for a residential support worker?

Q – “I have been offered an interview in for a residential support worker in a school/care home for children aged 5-19. These children have various learning difficulties.. What questions could I be asked? What should I ask the managers myself? ”

Answers

A – “Good questions to ask are… What is the best thing about working here ? What is the most difficult aspect of the job ? How might my skills fit into the role ? Is there any areas of my experience that you feel I would need further training in to support me in this role ?”

A – “You are likely to be asked about how you would deal with challenging behavior , What to do if a child discloses abuse , How you would support a child with language difficulties & methods of both verbal and non verbal support , what your understanding of Autism is”

A – “Look at the company website, ask about training and shifts just the general pointers just got myself a position doing the same”
